摘要

生死的分野為何？生命只是呼吸與心跳的運作嗎？由於醫療科技的進步，人們在瀕臨死亡時，藉由維生機器來維持生命，毫無尊嚴可言；或者運用CPR急救後，卻也回天乏術，而白白受苦。近年來人們開始意識到應該如何尊嚴的死去，因此有安寧緩和醫療的出現。除此之外，還有當人們瀕死時是否急救，往往決定權落在家屬與醫護人員身上，而病人自主性簽署不予急救(DNR)的提出，無疑是在傳統的醫療下，為自己找出一條尊嚴之路。因此死亡對你我而言，不再只是長度的延續抑或死亡之延長而已。

What is the dividing line of the life and the death? Is the life only the breath and the palpitation operation? As a result of medical science and technology progress, the people when borders on the death, the affiliation by life sustaining to maintain the life. That is not dignity. People start to realize dignity dying, that medical service so-called Hospice care. When is the end of human life whether to resuscitate or not? The decision-making power also often falls on the family member and on the medical care person. The patients to sign the ”Do-Not-Resuscitate” (DNR), that is a road of the dignity for themselves in the traditional medical service. The death no longer only is the length lengthens or the death continues.
