《孟》、《荀》中孔子圖像之延異

摘要

《孟子》與《荀子》中各有一幅孔子圖像，彼此之同，可以發現「孔子」在孟、荀哲學中具重要聖人形像，同時也可見儒學之精神所在；彼此之差異，則說明孟、荀哲學所理解的「孔子」圖像與自身所抉擇之詮釋立場息息相關。這一種現象，除了說明「孔子」圖像的多元性之外，也說明了哲學在傳統承續之餘，不同哲學家的轉化與擇取。

There is a Confucius portrait in both books, Mencius and Xunzi. From the similarity of the portraits, one could find the influence of the sacred image of Confucius on Mencius's and Xunzi's philosophic thought, as well as the existence of Confucianism spirit. From the difference of the portraits, one could also see the different interpretations of Mencius's and Xunzi's philosophies are deeply associated with ”Confucius” images and beliefs. This phenomenon, not only shows the variety of ”Confucius” portraits, but also demonstrates transitions and interpretations made in the process of developing philosophy.
