王坦之廢莊思想的「反玄」進路探析

An Analysis on "Anti-Mysteriousness" Idea of Abolishing Chuang-tzu Thought by Wang Tanzhi

摘要


本文立足於補遺的研究態度,透過王坦之的交遊情形觀察其〈廢莊論〉撰作因由,其間亦以嵇含〈弔莊周圖文並序〉揭示晉代士人借玄虛以助溺之情況,文中以王坦之〈廢莊論〉為基礎,分析其廢莊思想的「反玄」特性,進而探究其如何安頓儒道,透過這些資料吾人在時間橫軸座標上,可以觀察出東晉自然與名教此消彼長的情況;在時間縱軸座標上亦能讓世人知道,魏晉時代除了阮籍、向秀、郭象、支遁的《莊》學詮釋外,另有嵇含〈弔莊周圖文並序〉、王坦之〈廢莊論〉,進而彌補當今魏晉《莊》學史上較為被人忽略的一角。

This paper is based on the research attitude of the addendum to observe the reason of the "An Essay on Abolishing Chuang-tzu" by Wang Tanzhi. In the meantime, it also reveals the scholars in the Jin dynasty relied on metaphysics to bring themselves to drowning through "A Funeral Oration to Chuang Tzu in Article and Painting" written by Ji Han. On the basis of Wang Tanzhi's "An Essay on Abolishing Chuang-tzu", this paper observes why Wang Tanzhi is going to abolish Chuang-tzu, and accordingly explores how to settle down the Confucianism and Taoism. Through these materials, we can observe the shift between nature and the famous scholars in Eastern Jin dynasty on the horizontal axis of time coordinate; on the vertical axis of time coordinate , we can also let the world know that in Wei-Jin dynasties, in addition to interpretation in Chuang-tzu from Ruan Ji, Xiang Xiu, Guo Xiang, and Zhi Dun, Ji Han's "A Funeral Oration to Chuang Tzu in Article and Painting" and Wang Tanzhi's "An Essay on Abolishing Chuang-tzu" make up for the neglected corners of the history of Chuang-tzu in Wei-Jin Dynasties.
