It's the critical stage since 1990s that the architectural discourses in Taiwan had encountered the strong impact of globalization. Facing the coming challenge, we, relying on the architectural department of Huafan University as a active platform, had engaged in a series of educational practices basing on the main concern of returning to the humanistic-bodily nature of spatiality, in order to overcome the discursive restrain of the dichotomy of Form and Function, and to response to the transformation of architectural professions resulted from globalization. In general, though our difficult and arduous attempt was still full of shortages, it indeed accumulated some merits, and could be said a distinguished experiment of an architectural academy's try to re-put the forms into their contexts in order to grasp deeply the very essence of Form. This paper aims to reflect epistemologically and methodologically on this educational process we made in Huafan since early 1990s, in order to offer a referential base for further architectural-educational practices.
