目的:瞭解現行新生兒篩檢服務之資訊提供與資項提供人員之教育訓練現況,以為改進此項公共衛生服務之參考。材料與方法:以半結構訪談方式於台南市15家醫療院所,針對22位新生兒篩檢資訊提供人員進行資料收集,採內容分析訪談資料。結果:台南市各醫療所對新生兒篩檢之資訊提供,以產後分發衛教單張給父母並由其自行閱都為主,少數則輔以口頭說明。而資訊提供人員多未經過新生兒篩檢相關的正式訓練,其相關知識詢技能,多來自自行查閱資料或由資深者經驗傳承而得,而其自學管則主要來自衛教單張。結論:現行新生兒篩檢之資訊提供過程以提供衛教單張為主,未來應進一步評估父母對新生兒篩檢資訊的需求,以建立有效的資訊提供管道與方式,並辦理資訊提供人員的教育訓練,以掌握資訊提供的品質。另本研究所歸納之分析單元項目,可作為未來發展問卷之依據。
Objective: To explore the information provision and in-service training for the providers of newborn screening (NBS). Materials and Methods: At 15 obstetric clinics/hospitals in Tainan Ciyt, southwestern Taiwan, 22 information providers were interviewed. Using a content analysis method, transcriptions of interview data were analyzed to demonstrate the process of information provision of NBS and the types of in-service training for information providers. Results: Although most clinics/hospitals provide the NBS pamphlets to parents after delivery, they do not provide particular verbal explanations. The information providers were not systematically trained. They often searched for relevant information in the NBS pamphlets or through their senior colleagues. Conclusions: It is crucial to establish a systematic education program for information providers to promote the quality of information provision for NBS. A further study to investigate the information needs of the parents of newborns is necessary. Moreover, the content items developed from this study could be the basis for further questionnaire development.
