This study examines the relations on the concepts of total quality management and performance of planning project as perceived by the top manager in the real estate industries in Taiwan during the period from 1997 to 1998. In most industries, quality management activities agreed with the concept of TQM. Besides, the production performance in planning was also highly affirmed.There are five dimensions of total quality management, leadership ability, human resource management, process management, cooperation firms' management, continue quality improvement and information. Based on these dimensions, the sample firms considered in this study are classified into three groups which have no significant differences on planning technique action. However, according to the statistic analysis these three groups arc found different in efficiency conformity, management and maintenance and users' satisfaction and utilization.
