Convergent Evolution Revisited

Tree of life has always been a central issue in evolutionary biology since Darwin particularly Haeckel, but phylogeny is not the universe of evolution. In tree-making one emphasizes gene duplication and divergence as well as excludes convergence in that the latter interferes tree topology reconstructed. However, the convergent evolution (convergence) has important ecological and evolutionary significance some scientists neglected. Therefore, this paper will discusses it at length.
