A Petri Net Based Offline Simulation and Online Diagnostic Platform for Manufacturing Systems

以派區網路為基礎之製造系統離線模擬與線上診斷平台

摘要


生產製造系統之模擬與診斷問題一直都是一大挑戰,本文以國立高雄第一科技大學電腦整合製造中心之教學型彈性製造系統為標的,研發一套以派區網路為基礎之人機介面平台,以供彈性製造系統控制順序之設計、模擬與診斷。此一以VB程式語言及派區網路原理建構之個人電腦平台不僅可供離線設計、模擬彈性製造系統之控制順序,亦可作為彈性製造系統運轉時之線上診斷用。模擬完後之派區網路順序控制模型可以快速地被轉換成可程式控制器的順序控制語言程式,藉由和可程式控制器連線及資料傳輸,輔以精心設計之圖形畫面,此模擬平台便成為線上即時監控與診斷平台,彈性製造系統之運轉情形可輕易被掌握。此一經濟型個人電腦模擬與監控平台適用於離散事件控制系統的控制順序之快速設計與模擬,亦可提供操作員及工程師線上即時系統監控之用,以利問題快速診斷及排除。

To simulate and debug or diagnose manufacturing systems is always challenging. This paper presents a hybrid PLC-controlled and PC Visual Basic (VB)-based Human-Machine Interface (HMI) platform based on Petri net (PN) theory for Manufacturing Systems. An augmented PN model was adopted to design and simulate the operational sequence of the Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) at the National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology (NKFUST). With the simulated PN model, the control sequences were quickly translated into PLC programs. A PC-based HMI monitoring system based on the PN model was developed to provide an intuitive offline simulation and online diagnostic tools for the FMS. This hybrid system shows many of advantages by using the economical discrete control unit with PLC, and PC-based HMI using PN model as a base. The discrete event control sequence of an FMS can be easily modeled and evaluated before its build-up. More importantly, it can be diagnosed online when the system is malfunctioning. That is, the presented system provides an adequate means for offline system design, simulation, performance evaluation, and quick online system diagnostic.
