Monitoring the Average and Variability in Multivariate Process

同時監控多變量製程的平均與變異

摘要


在多變量製程上常用Hotelling T^2和|S|管制圖分別監測製程平均值向量與共變異數矩陣。本研究將Hotelling T^2與|S|管制圖合併於單一管制圖中,建構一個新的管制圖同時監控製程平均及變異。以平均串連長度評估新的管制圖的績效,並將所提之新管制圖與Hotelling T^2和|S|管制圖比較。

The most popular control charts in the multivariate statistical process are the Hotelling T^2 for process mean and |S| control chart for process variability. In this research, we will propose an alternative which combining the information in both Hotelling T^2 control chart and |S| control chart. We construct a single control chart to monitor the multivariate process mean and variability simultaneously. The average run length will be used to evaluate the performance of new control chart and will be compared with the Hotelling T^2 control chart and |S| control chart.
