Enhancement of Luminance Yield of Blue Organic Light Emitting Diode

摘要


本研究探討藍光有機發光二極體之發光效率的改善,研究中改變NPB及ADS080兩種材料之厚度來提昇發光效率,其元件之基本結構如下:Glass-ITO/NPB or TPD/ADS082/AlQ(subscript 3)/LiF/Al,發現以NPB取代TPD,在同樣電壓下其亮度增加400倍。至於NPB厚度也會影響發光亮度及效率;以ADS080為藍光摻雜材料,結果發現雙量子井摻雜方式可有效降低起始電壓,提升發光亮度及效率。

This research studied the enhancement of luminance yield of blue organic light emitting diode (OLED). NPB and ADS080 were used to increase the luminance yield. The basic structure of device is Glass-ITO/NPB or TPD/ADS082/AlQ(subscript 3)/LiF/Al. It was found that the OLEDs using NPB as hole transport layer have 400 times higher luminance than those using TPD. The NPB thickness affected the luminance of device, too. ADS080 is used as blue dopant. It was found that double quantum-well (QW) doped structure has lower turn-on voltage and higher luminance yield. So the brightness increased effectively in the double-doped QW blue OLED.
