以多金屬氧酸鹽作為電極材料於鋰離子電池之應用

Polyoxometalates as electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries

摘要


近幾十年來,鋰離子電池已廣泛應用於攜帶式電子設備,包含手機、手錶、數位相機、筆記型電腦等等。此外由於鋰離子電池之能量密度高,目前也已作為電動機車與汽車之儲能系統以及不斷電設備中,未來亦希望能成為再生能源之大型儲能系統。故目前各界正積極開發更高能量密度、高功率、高安全性、長循環壽命、以及低成本之鋰離子電池電極材料。多金屬氧酸鹽(polyoxometalates)是由多種過渡金屬元素所組成單一分子的過渡金屬氧化物團簇,其擁有提供高電容量之多個可逆以及快速的電子氧化還原反應。在此我們介紹不同的多金屬氧酸作為電極材料應用於鋰離子電池,並探討其材料選用對電池性能的影響。

In recent years, lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have been widely used in portable electronic devices, including mobile phones, watches, digital cameras, laptops and so on. In addition, due to their high energy density, LIBs have been used as energy storage systems for electric vehicles and scooters and uninterruptible power supplies. LIB is also a potential large-scale energy storage system for renewable energy. Therefore, many researchers are focusing on developing LIB electrode materials with high energy density, high power density, high safety, long cycle life, and low cost. Polyoxometalates are transition metal oxide molecular clusters with well-defined structures. It is able to undergo fast and reversible redox reactions. Here we introduce different kinds of polyoxometalates as electrode materials for LIBs, and investigate the effects of material selection on battery performances.
