In analyzing, ”Which Path China Should Take?” we use the theory of ”Sociology of Knowledge” to discuss views of the ”Old Left”, ”Neo Authoritarianism”, ”New Left”, and ”Liberalism”. We apply two concepts, including equality / efficiency and state / market to divide the article into four categories. Since the 1980's, there have been three main debates focusing on the future path of China's development. Through analysis of the above debates, we think that the ”Liberalism” would be a more feasible theory to revise the defects of ”New Left” and guide the future direction for China.
