We retrospectively review 7 cases of cholesteatoma, 6 of them are epidermoid cysts, and one is dermoid cyst. All of them had received CT examinations, there are 5 cases in cystic nature, one is shown isodense as compared to that of normal brain tissue, and the other one has high absorption density (80 Hu.) that is so- called hyperdense epidermoid tumor. None of epidermoid tumors has contrast enhancement, but the only one dermoid has ring enhancement. One of the suprasellar epidermoid cysts is associated with astrocytoma. It is very unusual and curious, because we have never seen in the previous English literatural reports.
