Bladder hernia is not uncomon. It has been reported to occur in approximately 1% of inguinal hernias. Five old male patients, ages 5-5-72 years old, haviag inguinal hernias, were diagnosed to have bladder hernia using ultrasound (US). Since they all had complaints of frequency urgency, nocturia and dysuria, benign prostate hyper-trophy were clinically suspected. Here we demonstrated the diagnostic bladder hernia by various image modalities including US, intravenous pyelography and voiding cystourethrography. Their findings were compared with operative results. We found that US is an ideal imaging modality for recongnizing the presence of bladder hernia and preventing it from injury during herniorrhaphy.
