腦下垂體莖突之磁振造影影像第一部份:正常莖突

摘要


我們回溯性地研究一百四十個人之正常腦下垂體莖突的磁振造影影像,對莖突的大小、形狀、位置、訊號強度及對比劑增強的情形加以評估。受檢者的年齡分佈從三天大到七十九歲。綜合我們的研究,有以下發現:(1)莖突持續成長,約至十四歲左右可達成人之形態。(2)莖突以靠近下視丘正中隆起部的部份最粗,而在蝶鞍部後1/2與1/3問與腦下垂體相接。(3)莖突的直徑鮮少超過4mm,而其長度則隨腦下垂體的大小而有所不同。(4)莖突在注射對比劑之後之增強現象與其血管之解剖分佈有很好的相關性。

MR images of 140 normal pituitary infundibular stems, including size, shape, position, signal intensity and contrast enhancement, were retrospectively evaluated in subjects of age from 3 days to 79 years. The findings were as follows: 1) The infundibular stem continues to grow until it reaches adult dimensions around 14 years of age. 2) The cylindrical stem is thickest near median eminence and enters the pituitary gland between the posterior 1/2 and 1/3 of the sella turcica. 3) The stem diameter seldom exceeds 4 mm; its length varies with the size of the pituitary gland. 4) The stems contrast enhancing pattern correlates well with its vascular anatomy.
