The performance of spraying pesticide is important for plant growth. Over spraying may damage the crop, pollute the environment, jeopardize the public health and rise the cost. To prevent these situations occurring, a proper pesticide spraying control system is needed. The objective of this research was to set up a microprocessor system which is automatically adjusted by the ground speed of sprayer for controlling the spraying quantities. This system contains pipe-line design, sensing rotation speed, and quant control. From the above research, conclusions are that the ground speed of the sprayer is successfully controlled by the step motor, that the output error of control signal is avoided due to the control program written by a prophetic signal value and a signal linear formula, and that the control value adjusts the spray quantity successfully. Therefore, the application loss of pesticide with a traditional system is 46.9%, but its spray accuracy is within 10% with the developed conrol system.
