For the present, the work for evaluating duck eggshell is done by human labor, which needs a lot of time and much effort. Such a work was based on operators' experience and might be lower the accuracy due to this tiring task. In this paper, the scientific method was used to replace the traditional method. The impact test by pulse excitation was used to investigate the correlation between the resonant frequencies and crack for duck eggshell. Based on those data, the fundamental information might be constructed, which could be used as a reference to develop a sensor for evaluating duck eggshell in the future. From the results of same duck egg with and without crack, the first resonant frequency of duck eggshell without crack was lower than that with crack. From the results of several duck eggs with and without crack, the first resonant frequency of duck eggshell without crack was between 65and 110 Hz and that with crack was between 30 and 60 Hz.
