The aim of this study is to explore the comparison of the reliability and validity of the electromyography (EMG) signals between laboratory grade (LG) and EMG smart textiles (ST) in different movement phrases of squat. Methods:In this study, eight college males performed squats at 3 different speeds, and the value of integral electromyogram (iEMG) served as results was used to evaluate the validity and reproducibility of repeated measurements. Results:The most consistent results were illustrated on quadriceps femoris between LG and ST, while other muscle groups may mutate at specific speeds. Conclusion:The measurement results of ST provide preference value. However, if the results applied to research or accurate measurement, it is necessary to consider the time sequence of muscle group activation during movement, to improve the accuracy of the measurement.
