摘要

Advanced Switching Interconnect (ASI)為先進串列技術提供了新的選擇，它為AdvancedTCA應用的子標準之一，推出的目的是為了統一各設備與晶片廠間界面設計不相容的問題。這項新標準技術可廣泛用於晶片間聯結、刀鋒伺服器、背板、路由器、或交換器。ASI可提供互連結構重要的交易層處理功能，如對等傳輸、多點傳輸、封包分段重組、擁塞管理、遠端記憶體存取等功能，並提高連接間的效能與服務品質，以應付網路規模的成長與需求的增加。

ASI is a new solution for the interconnect application. It's also the subsidiary specification of AdvancedTCA. Based on the new specification, all the proprietary device interfaces could be merged into the unique standardized one. It could be used at chip-to-chip, blade server, backplane, switch, and router. ASI has a powerful transport layer supporting more functions, such as peer-to-peer, multicast, and QoS. ASI also supports optional protocol interfaces to provide special functions for other protocols, such as segmentation and re-assembly, congestion management, and remote memory access.
