多跳型無線網路系統之設計與分析

Design and Analysis of Multi-hop Wireless Network Systems

摘要


本文首先介紹無線感測網路的發展與特性,接著說明相關的IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee通訊協定。之後,介紹工研院電通所目前所發展出的Multi-hop網路系統的設計方式,包含分散式位址的指定機制,與階層式的樹狀路由法。並且說明其功能驗證與系統分析,包含在各種傳輸時間間隔、傳輸距離、多跳數(Hop count)、以及戶內戶外情形下,對於有效資料傳輸率(Kbps)的影響。初步的實驗結果顯示,在Single-hop網路系統中,於90m的距離下,仍有約60Kbps的資料傳輸率,已足夠一般無線感測系統的應用。而在Multi-hop網路系統中,傳輸效能的降低比率約為20-30% per hop。

This paper first introduces the features and development of wireless sensor networks, and then the IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee protocol. Subsequently, we show the design and analysis of multi-hop network systems developed by the ITRI-ICL. In the design stage, the distributed address assignment mechanism and hierarchical tree routing algorithm are employed. Then, in the analysis stage, functional verification and performance evaluation are investigated, including the effective data rate (Kbps) under varied transmission intervals, distances, hops, and indoor/outdoor conditions. Experimental results show that around 60Kbps data throughput can be reached under a 90m distance in a single-hop network, while the transmission performance would be degraded about 20-30% per hop in a multi-hop one.
