摘要


自從Kocher提出電力攻擊法來攻擊晶片卡或是其他密碼硬體設備後,許多密碼系統設計人員不只關心密碼學本身在數學上的安全性,也關心於其實作上的安全。相對於早期的主動式攻擊法,例如錯誤攻擊法,電力攻擊法屬於被動式攻擊且更容易實現。此篇文章將介紹兩種基本電力攻擊法的理論,並且以實驗加以證明此攻擊法的可行性。此篇文章將有助於晶片卡的設計人員做為發展內部密碼系統的考量。

Since Kocher proposed the power analysis attacks against the implementation of smartcards and other cryptographic hardware devices, many cryptosystem designers concern not only the mathematic security of cryptography but also its implementation security. Contrary to previous active attacks such as fault attacks, power analysis attacks are passive attacks and much easier to mount. In this article, we give an overview of two types of power analysis attacks, and experimental results are also provided for proving the feasibility of the attacks. This article will provide helpful information for smartcard designers to develop the cryptosystem.
