摘要
隨著無線通訊與寬頻網路的興盛，各種手機、配備WLAN之Notebook PC、PDA、Pocket PC以及iPod等行動裝置大量崛起，正式步入行動運算時代，大幅提昇了資訊使用者之生產力。預期未來十年將步入第四波產業革命， 將在無線感測網路(Wireless Sensor Networks; WSN)基礎上建構以人本應用與服務為主之智慧型生活環境。基於此發展趨勢，『智慧生活環境技術發展計畫』著重於智慧型裝置、數位生活資訊服務平台、多模式人機互動及家庭網路安全等技術之研發，期能在未來數位生活時代中，因應服務內容、使用者喜好設置、裝置狀況及網路狀況自動調適，以實現使用者能在不同的環境下，利用不同的裝置，透過不同的網路與通訊環境，隨時隨地享受個人化及貼心的應用與服務，以全面提昇個人之生活品質。

Nowadays, the technology of wireless communication and broadband access boosts the trend of various mobile devices such as cellar phones, WiFi laptop/PDA, and iPod. The mobile computing era has come and it would greatly raise the productivity of the information retrievers. It will be the forth-wave industrial revolution based on human or service oriented Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), technology for on intelligent living environment in the following decade. Thus, the ”Intelligent Environment Technology Program” puts emphasis on the development of Smart Device, Digital life Information Platform, Multi-Modal Human-Machine Interaction, and Information and Network security technologies. This program is working toward a self-adaptive mechanism in order to enhance the quality of life and to provide customized personal application and services through various devices, networks, and communication environment.
