Exploration of WiMAX Security Sublayer

摘要


WiMAX是一項基於IEEE 802.16標準的通訊技術。在IEEE 802.16e標準中,定義了4個子層,分別是收斂子層(Convergence Sublayer;CS)、MAC通用子層(MAC Common Part Sublayer)、安全子層(Security Sublayer)和實體層(Physical Layer)。其中安全子層負責用戶端的認證(Authorization)、金鑰管理(Key Management)以及資料的加解密演算法。本文主要目的在於介紹「IEEE 802.16e-2005」中的安全子層,包含安全協定、金鑰架構與認證方式。

WiMAX is a communication technology based on the IEEE 802.16 standard. The IEEE 802.16e standard defines four sublayers, which are Convergence Sublayer (CS), MAC Common Part Sublayer, Security Sublayer and Physical Layer. The security sublayer is responsible for the authorization of users, key management and the cryptography algorithms. The main objective of this article is to introduce the protocol Security Sublayer of ”IEEE 802.16e-2005” including security protocol, key architecture, and authorization method.
