因應電信等級開放架構的新趨勢,如何運用高可用度(High availability; HA)的Commercial Of The Shelf(COTS)元件與技術來開發高可用度的設備,變成是一項很重要的議題。本論文以高可用度Ethernet Passive Optical Network Optical Line Terminal(EPON OLT)系統為例,依循Carrier Grade Open Environment(CGOE)建立的Framework,提出Switch卡板Hot-Standby及Fast Failover的方法,以快速備援的方式,達到降低Mean Time To Repair(MTTR)並提高系統可用度的目的。根據實際量測的結果failover time均小於25ms,比起傳統電信設備要求的50ms規格,足足少了一半。
