Introduction to Spatial Channel Model for System-level Simulation

MIMO plays an important role in the development of the communication specification at present time. How to provide a channel model to simulate communication of multiple antennas is an important issue. Hence, 3GPP/3GPP2 specify the parameters and methods of the spatial channel model with the consideration of angle spread, delay spread, power, delay, and direction of multipath. SCM provides three primary simulation environments and several optional scenarios. In this paper, we introduce the simulation procedures and calculation methods of the primary simulation environments of SCM.
