摘要

All-IP寬頻網路系統改變了現有電信服務環境的網路架構，實現IP多媒體服務的應用融合。IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem)作為下一代核心網路的核心技術，不僅用於會話和呼叫控制， 提供多媒體業務環境的建立，也可做為與其他網路介接的開放界面。IMS網路中的HSS(Home Subscriber Server)負責儲存使用者相關的資訊，相當於2G和2.5G HLR的功用；並具備動態產生用戶認證資料的AuC(Authentication Center)功能。在本文中，將介紹IMS系統如何應用HSS進行用戶授權與認證機制，以及HSS如何管理用戶配置文件(User Profile)的方法。

The IMS is the technology that will merge the Internet with existing communication systems. It makes Internet services, such as the web, email, instant message, and videoconferencing available nearly everywhere. HSS is the main data storage for all subscriber and service-related data of the IMS. It contains the subset of Home Location Register and Authentication Center (HLR/AUC) functionality. The focus of the paper is to introduce how HSS helps user authentication work in the IMS and manage user profile which determines SIP requests to visit a certain Application Server so that a particular service can be provided.
