摘要

內部預測(Intra Prediction)是視訊編碼中所使用的一種編碼工具，利用影像於空間上鄰近像素點(Pixel)彼此間的相似性做壓縮，是一種屬於靜態影像壓縮的技術。本篇主要闡述一快速方法，於進行內部預測時，不需檢驗比較所有可供編碼的內部模式(Intra Mode)，而以較為快速的方式，決策出具編碼效率的內部模式。本方法將以H.264/AVC視訊編碼所採用的內部預測(Intra Prediction)為具體實施例子，並與文獻方法比較實驗數據，以呈現本篇之內容與價值。

Intra Prediction is one of encoding tools applied in video encoding. It is a still-image encoding technique and takes advantage of similarities between adjacent pixels in spatial domain. This paper mainly proposes a faster method in intra prediction without processing all possible intra modes but using a faster way to decide possible intra prediction modes when concerned with encoding quality. We adopt intra prediction as our experiment examples and compare it with other published papers or patents.
