摘要


本文提出一套應用於透過網際網路(Internet)串流收看即時的影音節目,用以調適頻寬並兼顧影音控制回應之緩衝區動態控制的方法。 這個方法在伺服器端設計了在影音互動操控時,可以有效地控制傳輸資料量的機制,並兼顧網路頻寬調適的方法,讓使用者得以觀賞畫面流暢平順且品質穩定的串流節目。同時,播放器端可以不必暫停播放,也不必做額外的處理就可以自動重新累積緩衝所需的資料。本方法之優點如下:(1)快速的影音互動操作回應,大幅改善便利性與使用者觀感;(2)穩定的品質與頻寬調適,應用在多變的網際網路環境仍然能夠維持穩定的收看品質。

We propose a method of controlling buffer dynamically for fast audio & video control response and bandwidth adaptation on Internet streaming application. When A/V control occurs, the proposed method designs an efficient transmission data control mechanism, and also takes network bandwidth adaptation into consideration at the server side, so that users may watch streaming video smoothly with stable quality. Moreover, the player side may playback without interruption and re-buffer automatically without any extra effort. The advantages are, (1) fast A/V control response, which greatly improves usability and user perception; (2) stable quality and buffer adaptation, which keeps steady quality even applied in changing Internet environment.
