A Neighbor-Based Detection Scheme to Resist Node Replication Attacks for Wireless Sensor Networks

摘要


大部份的無線感測網路應用仰賴佈署大量的感測節點在無人看管的地區,導致感測節點容易被竊取而使得攻擊者有機會破壞感測節點並取出節點內的秘密資訊。此外攻擊者可藉由將所取出的秘密資訊載入到其他感測節點並將這些節點重新加入網路內以進行惡意攻擊行為或破壞網路其他進行中的通訊協定。在此篇文章當中,我們提出一種以鄰居為基礎之偵測方法(Neighbor-Based Detection Scheme; NBDS)來對抗節點複製攻擊。與先前週期性來偵測節點複製攻擊的方法比較,以鄰居為基礎之偵測方法不僅提供了即時性的偵測,更達到使用較少的通訊量及記憶體使用量。此外以鄰居為基礎之偵測方法的偵測率也比過去之方法高出許多。

Most of the sensor network applications have to deploy large amount of sensor nodes in unattended areas. Thus the nodes will be breakable and susceptible in the environment. Also the information inside the nodes will not be secure. The non-authorized persons can reload the modified information to the nodes and execute the malicious attack to the network protocols. In this paper we will propose a Neighbor-Based Detection Scheme (NBDS) to resist the node replication attacks. Compared with the distributed schemes that detect replicated-nodes periodically, our scheme can not only provide near real-time detection but also achieve lower communication and reduce memory usage. Moreover, the probability of detecting replicated nodes is much higher than the previous schemes.
