Inter-Carrier Interference Cancellation Technology for High-Mobility OFDM Systems

摘要


下一世代無線通訊系統強調其接收機於高速移動下必須具有良好的接受效能,Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM)傳輸技術為其可能應用的技術之一。本文的目的即是為了解決OFDM系統在高速移動時因都卜勒頻率偏移造成的Inter-Carrier Interference (ICI)問題,以提升系統效 能。傳統ICI消除技術不是計算過於複雜就是需要犧牲額外資料傳輸速率。本文提出之方法先利用OFDM系統既有的保護區間找出多組非碼際干擾接收訊號,將該些訊號進行時域重組以使部分ICI自動消除,再經過數學分析推導出殘存ICI的組成成分,用簡單實現方式重建及消除殘存ICI以進一步改善OFDM系統效能,使系統對於都卜勒頻率偏移效應具備更高的容忍度。

High-mobility is important for the next generation wireless communications. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technique might be adopted in the future communication systems. Our purpose is to solve the Inter-Carrier Interference (ICI) issue caused by Doppler Shift for the high-mobility OFDM systems. Traditional ICI cancellation schemes are either more complex in computation complexity or inefficient in bandwidth efficiency. Our proposed method adopted the time domain combination (TDC) for the inter-symbol interference free received signals to partially self-cancel ICI. Moreover, the residual ICI will be reconstructed and cancelled to further improve the system performance.
