非同步鎖模摻鉺光纖光固子雷射與其長期穩定方法

Asynchronously Mode-Locked Er-Fiber Soliton Laser and Its Long-Term Stabilization

摘要


藉由非同步鎖模(asynchronous mode-locking)的方式,可以直接從摻鉺光纖光固子雷射(Erfiber soliton laser)產生10 GHz 0.8 ps且超模抑制比(super-mode suppression ratio, SMSR)大於70 dB的穩定脈衝序列。當調變頻率與共振腔諧頻相差15-40 kHz時,可以形成穩定的飛秒光固子脈衝。除此之外,也針對非同步鎖模摻鉺光纖光固子雷射發展了一個全新且經濟的長期穩定方法。無需使用高頻的回饋電路,藉由調整共振腔的長度將此雷射的偏移頻率鎖定於25 kHz,非同步鎖模即可維持長期的穩定工作。

By employing the technique of asynchronous mode-locking, direct generation of stable 10 GHz 0.8 ps pulse trains with a supermode-suppression ratio > 70 dB from a mode-locked Er-fiber soliton laser has been demonstrated successfully. When the modulation frequency is deviated from the cavity harmonic frequency by 15-40 kHz, stable femtosecond soliton pulses are formed. Besides, without using high speed RF feedback electronics, a novel and economic long-term stabilization scheme for this asynchronously mode-locked Er-fiber soliton laser is proposed and demonstrated by controlling the cavity length to lock the deviation frequency at 25 kHz.
