摘要
Thalidomide乃一種口服抑止抗血管生長和調整免疫的藥物，臨床上廣泛被用來治療晚期的癌症。它可以干擾許多血管生長因子的釋出，包括腫瘤壞死因子－α、白血球間素－6，亦可間接阻止血管內皮生長因子和基礎纖維母細胞生長因子。許多大型研究證明，它對多發性骨髓瘤有療效，但對其它固態的腫瘤則療效不明。本文回顧使用thalidomide來治療婦癌之結果。

Thalidomide, an oral agent with antiangiogenic and immunomodulatory properties, is being investigated extensively in the management of advanced cancer. It may interfere with the expression or release of several angiogenic factors, including tumor necrosis factor-alpha, and interleukin-6, and may interfere indirectly with vascular endothelial growth factor and basic fibroblast growth factor. Multiple studies with large mumbers of patients have confirmed that this drug has significant activity in multiple myeloma. However, the activity of thalidomide in solid tumors is less prominent. In this article, we reviewed the results of using thalidomide in gynecologic cancer.
