早期子宮內膜癌術後放射線治療的檢視

早期的子宮內膜癌主要的治療方法爲手術。過去在手術後，常以放射線來做輔助治療以減少復發率。最近經過數項大規模達第Ⅲ階段的研究發現，放射線治療雖然可以減少局部的復發率，但並未增加生存率，卻增加了罹病率及遠端轉移率。因此對有中度風險的子宮內膜癌患者（指stageⅠb至Ⅱa），在使用輔助性放射線治療前，要考慮放射線治療可能帶來的副作用，而化學治療可考慮作爲早期中度風險子宮內膜癌手術後的輔助治療。

For early stage endometrial cancer, surgery is the cornerstone of treatment. For these patients, brachytherapy or external radiation therapy is advocated by some as the optimal adjuvant treatment. However, several studies concluded that adjunctive radiation therapy in early-stage, intermediate-risk endometrial carcinoma decreased the risk of local recurrence but had a questionable role in preventing tumor spread, and that distant metastases remained a significant cause of failure in these patients.
