Asymptomatic Killian - Jamieson Diverticulum Mimicking A Thyroid Nodule - A Case Report and Literature Review

摘要
Killian-Jamieson diverticulum (KJD) is rare disease estimated to occur in only 0.025% of the population. In some cases of small KJDs, KJDs resemble thyroid nodules in sonography, which can lead to confusion. We present a case of pharyngoesophageal diverticulum in a 59-year-old man who was originally thought to have a left thyroid tumor. Esophagography verified the mass as KJD. The aim of this case report is to highlight the clinical presentation, sonography, and diagnostic evaluation of KJD through a literature review.
