How to Build an Instruction-Oriented Internet Video Database: The Establishment and Application of the "Video Material Blog"

摘要

本研究之目的為發展影音教材部落格學習系統，並探究教師與學生對本系統的使用意見，以及利於使用之主要因素。研究者以漩渦生命週期模式（Spiral Life Cycle Model），分三個漩渦階段開發系統，依各階段之發展進度，共邀請10位教師與10位學生進行試用，並根據回饋意見來調整系統之功能與介面。於三次修改之後，研究者即針對27名教師與31名學生進行問卷調查與訪談，瞭解使用者對於本系統的功能及看法。本研究發現：（1）本系統除了影音播放外，亦提供影片之簡介、精華片段、相關教材、推薦、收藏與搜尋等功能，且在影片分類上，是以學習領域、教學方法為依據，而大部分的使用者對這些功能皆感到滿意；（2）本系統之「相關教材」功能，可讓教師上傳影片、圖片、簡報等補充教材，而「精華片段」功能可直接跳轉至影片重要片段之時間點，亦是本系統之設計重點；（3）大多數的師生均喜歡本系統的內容與功能，且認為使用本系統分享、搜尋與應用影音教材資源，對其教學與學習是有幫助的；（4）設計一個具有「優使性」的影音教材部落格，其主要因素為「系統設計」與「媒體品質」。本研究的結果意味著，以課室教學需求為考量而設計的影音教材部落格，對教師教學與學生學習之助益是可以被期待的。最後研究者亦根據研究發現提出建議，並指出未來研究之方向。

The purpose of the study is to develop an internet learning system ”Video Material Blog” and investigate users' feedback on operation and usability. Adopting Spiral Life Cycle Model in the three stages of the development, the researcher modified the blog prototype three times on its functions and interface based upon the trial feedback of 10 classroom teachers and 10 elementary students. Then, a survey and an interview were conducted after a hands-on operation computer class with 31 5th graders, another survey and interview, with 27 classroom teachers. Users expressed their viewpoints in the questionnaire on the design, content, function, and user-friendliness. The findings are as follows: (1) most users are satisfied with the way that videos and supportive materials are classified by curriculum fields and pedagogies because it reflects practical teaching considerations; (2) teachers can not only upload various kinds of materials such as text, photograph, PowerPoint, but also enjoy ”fast key” service in retrieving the important segments of the video; (3) most users are satisfied with the contents, functions, and believe that using the system to share and search video materials will be helpful to teaching and learning; (4) to have ”usability,” one must consider the major factories - system design, quality media. The results show that the ”Video Material Blog,” based upon the needs in classroom teaching, is beneficial to instruction in practice. This study also makes relevant suggestions and points out possible research in the future.
