眼眶腫瘤之臨床觀察
The Clinical Observation in Orbital Tumors

Observation on forty cases of orbital tumors in the past 10 years in National Taiwan Uniersity Hospital were reported. Among these cases, male is more common than female. Fourteen cases are mucocele or Pyocele of paranasal sinuses, while 22 cases were malignancies which usually affect the people after middle age. Most of the tumors located on the medial part of the orbit. Thirteen among fourteen cases of mucocele or pyocele are extending from ethmoid sinus. There is no difference in incidence between left and right eye. The tumor usually affects one eye. Only one case was bilateral, which was chloroma. Uniocular exophthalmos, blurring of vision and presence of palpable mass constituted the three main symptoms and signs of orbital tumor. Several kinds of diagnostic methods with gerat importance and the surgical treatment of orbital tumor under various conditions were discussed.
