A case of typical Sjögren syndrome associated with rheumatoid arthritis in a 40 year old woman was presented. Detailed studies of corneal change and tear secretion as well as other clinical examination including repeated evaluation of gamma globulin by paper electrophoresis were performed. The recent literatures in regard to the relationship between autoimmune diseases and Sjögren syndrome were introduced and discussed. Various therapeutic management-were tried in vain and the temporary clinical relief was obtained only after closing the four lacrimal points by cauterization.
