長期裝戴隱形眼鏡於單眼無水晶體患者臨床報告
Clinical Evaluation of Continuous Wear Contact Lenses in Monocular Aphakia Patient
摘要
報告三十二位單眼無水晶患者於長期裝戴軟式隱形眼鏡，連續觀察至少七個月以上後，發現其使用方便，特別是於小孩或老年患者，可以不需每日裝戴。但是其價格較高，壽命較短，而且仍需二至三星期清潔一次。視力不穩定，且在糖尿病和有系統性疾病之患者配戴此型鏡片時需特別小心。

We evaluated extended-wear soft contact lens n 32 monocular aphakic patients, 23 of whom had been unable to wear conventional contact lenses; 30 eyes (93%) had been successfully fitted and have worn the extended-wear lenses without significant complication. Two patients were unable to wear the lens due to poor correct his vision. In 29 eyes successfully fitted the lens is removed for cleaning less often than 2 to 4 weeks. Twenty four of the 30 eyes fitted have visual acuity as good as, or better than 20/40. One of D. M. patient had sufferred from severe cornea reaction associated with hypopyon after hospitalization 5 days later the symptom subside, patient still wore extent contact lens till now. The results obtained with the extended-wear soft contact lens are very convenient in young child and old person.
