頜口蟲性內眼炎－病例報告
Gnathostomiatic Endopthalmitis-Case Report
摘要
棘頜口蟲內眼炎，係一種罕見的眼疾。本文報告一病例，經用玻璃體切吸手術由眼後極玻璃體內取出棘頜口幼蟲活體之經過。並討論棘頜口蟲生活史及眼內感染的情形。

This report presents a case of gnathostomiatic endophthalmitis successfully treated with vitrectomy and removal of the parasite. The 27 years old man, an overseas Chinese student from Burma, was found to have endophthalmitis caused by an intaocular nematode which was presumably gotten from patient's eating raw fish 3 years ago. The worm removed from the eye alive with ocutome was later identified as the third stage larva of Gnathostoma spinigerum. After photo-coagulation of a retinal break found postoperatively, the patient regained his vision to 20/16 up to 1 year's follow up. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported case that the patient regained vision after gnathostomiatic infection of the eye.
