摘要
麥粒腫在臨床上是最常見的眼瞼發炎疾病之一，本篇觀察140個容易復發麥粒腫的病人及其與細菌學、伴有之眼疾和屈光異常的臨床評估。140個病人中有110個病人做細菌培養檢查及抗生素敏感試驗，結果約有38%葡萄球菌陽性培養率，對抗生素以頭芽菌素類(Cephalosporin)及見大黴素(gentamycin)最有效。病人中63%伴有慢性結膜炎或眼瞼結膜炎，而屈光異常以近視為主，佔所有屈光異常之58%，其中大部分的病人沒有良好矯正，全身狀況以主訴身體疲勞者最多佔43%，伴有其他皮膚疾患者也有26%。

Hordeolum is one of the most common inflammatory eyelid diseases. This paper observed one hundred and forty patients who contracted recurrent hordeolum easily and investigated the possible correlations with bacteria, underlying ocular diseases and refraction errors. The bacteria was predominantly staphylococci. There was about a 38% positive staphylococci culture rate in this study and the patients who contracted with chronic conjunctivitis or blepharoconjunctivitis were more then 50%. The majority of the refraction errors was myopia and most of the patients did not have good correction.
