The Effect of 2% Sodium Cromoglycate (Intal Eye Drops) in Vernal, Allergic and Chronic Conjunctivitis
摘要
本篇報告春季結膜炎，過敏性結膜炎，慢性結膜炎各10名點以Intal eye drops一日4次。他覺徵象之改善率為慢性結膜炎90%，過敏性結膜炎70%，春季結膜炎60%，自覺症狀之改善率比他覺好，所有病人皆可以此藥取代類固醇，除了三名嚴重春季結膜炎患者。藥效產生時間平均為2天至2週，停藥後復發率10~50%，以春季及過敏性結膜炎較明顯。副作用以刺痛感為主(13%)。點藥後淚水及血清IgE值變化不定，與反應好壞無關，但就整體而言，淚水及血清IgE值，春季結膜炎最高，慢性結膜炎最低，其對藥物之反應則恰好相反。

Thirty patients were treated with 2% Intal eye drops. Of which 10 had vernal conjunctivitis, 10 had allergic conjuntivitis and 10 had chronic conjunctivitis. The drug efficacy was 90% in chronic conjunctivitis, 70% in allergic conjunctivitis and 60% in vernal conjunctivitis. All patients could shift the ocular steroid to Intal eye drops except 3 with severe vernal conjunctivitis. Symptoms may be more easily controlled than signs especially in vernal conjunctivitis. There was no significant relationship between the tear and serum IgE levels and the therapeutic effect in each group. Time required for response depended on the severity of the disease and was usually around 2 days and 2 weeks or more. The recurrent rate ranged from 10% to 50% which was relatively higher in the group of vernal conjunctivitis than in other groups. Besides transient local stinging sensation, there were no systemic or severe adverse reactions present.
