摘要
由民國71年7月至民國79年7月，我們選擇視力矯正至0.3以下的病人1240人。三分之一的病人合併有斜視。百分之八十的病人有散光性屈光不正。經過治療後，視力進步Snellen氏視力表二行以上者有70%，視力達到0.8以上者有372人（463眼），佔37.3%。本篇分析報告視力達到0.8以上治癒者的治療情形與結果。年齡由2、5歲至20歲（平約為6.38±2.59歲）平均遮蓋時間為12.13±8.7個月。停止治療後，病人在家裡仍作維持性短暫遮蓋，治癒後之弱視眼視力目前無退步情形發生。

From July 1982 to July 1990, 1240 children with amblyopia, one third of them had strabismus, were treated at our hospital. Their ages ranged from 2.5 to 20 years old (average 6.38). We excluded those with nystagmus, unilateral aphakia, deprivation amblyopia or other ocular diseases. Treatment consisted of occlusion of the good eye, CAM vision stimulator, prism and folia application. It took 3.36 months to achieve improvement in visual acuity (2 lines of Snellen chart). The best final visual acuity (0.8) achievement took 12.13 months. In 70%, treatment led to improve vision in amblyopic eyes. In 37.3%, treatment led to achieve good vision (0.8) in amblyopic eyes. Comparing with previous articles, more older children and longer treatment period were found in our report. However, we found greater compliance and better results even in older patients.
