白內障術後角膜內皮細胞損失率的研究

Corneal Endothelial Cell Loss after Cataract Surgery

摘要

We conducted a prospective study to evaluate the endothelial cell loss after extracapsular cataract extraction and PC-IOL implantation between the endocapsular and the can-opener techniques. 110 eyes from the same operator-S.W. Liou-were randomized into two groups, 58 of them with endocapsular technique and the other 52 eyes with can-opener technique. Preoperative and postoperative endothelial cell density were evaluated by specular microscope. The endocapsular group had an average of 13.7% endothelial cell density decrease, while the can-opener group had a decrease rate of 23.8%. The endocapsular group had a statistically significant lower rate of endothelial cell decrease (Student t test p<0.05). The results confirmed our previous retrospective study-the corneal endothelium could be better protected by the almost intact anterior capsule during manipulation of the surgery in the endocapsular group. In this point of view, it was concluded that the endocapsular technique of extracapsular cataract extraction was superior to the can-opener technique.
