摘要

美國劉頓(Don Liu)醫師於1992年8月與作者們討論並介紹以“單一縫線“之簡化手術來矯治眼瞼下垂。為證實此手術的實用性，我們於1992年9月至1994年8月針對“退行性眼瞼下垂”(involutional ptosis)病例，17位病患，24側例，施以單一縫線眼瞼提肌筋膜摺疊手術(single suture aponeurotic tucking operation)。
手術結果，大部份病患(94%)認為滿意。手術併發症包括：矯治不足2側例，矯治過度1側例，瞼緣尖豎(peaking)1側例。由2年的手術經驗，作者認同採行此手術來矯治退行性眼瞼下垂為一簡單、省時而且有效之方法。

In August 1992, Dr. Liu introduced a simplified technique ”one suture aponeurotic tuck” for ptosis repair. To verify the effectiveness of the procedure, one of the authors (Hsu) has performed the same procedure for the repair of involutional ptosis in the past 2 years. Of the 17 involutional ptosis patients (24 eyelids) collected from September 1992toAugust 1994, 16 (94%) patients were satisfied with the final results. Complications included: undercorrection in two patients, overcorrection in one, and lid peaking in one. There were no immediate nor late recurrence. From the two years experiences, the authors may confirm that the single suture aponeurotic tuck technique is a simple, time saving, and effective procedure for the repair of involutional ptosis.
