局部使用Mitomycin-C對於準分子雷射角膜切除術後所產生的角膜間質混濁之治療

摘要

目的：證明局部Mitomycin-C對於準分子雷射角膜切除(PRK)術後所產生反覆性角膜間質混濁的治療效用。
方法：針對3個病人4隻眼睛在PRK術後產生明顯的角膜間質混沌，使用雷射角膜切除術及0.02% Mitomycin-C來治療。
結果：所有的角膜在平均10.5個月的追蹤當中都保持清澈，最佳矯正視力全部皆有改善，而且並沒有任何副作用產生。
結論：局部使用Mitomycin-C對於準分子雷射角膜切除術後所產生之角膜間質混濁的治療是有效而且安全的。

Purpose: To demonstrate the effect of topical Mitomycin-C treatment for the prevention of recurrent corneal haze in 4 eyes of 3 patients following photorefractive keratectomy.
Methods: Visually-signifcant corneal haze was treated with a single intra-operative application of 0.02% Mitomycin-C following phototherapeutic keratectomy.
Results: All corneas remained clear throughout the follow-up period (7m-14m, mean=10.5m), and best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) improved in all cases. No adverse reactions were seen.
Conclusion: Topical Mitomycin-C is an effective modality in the treatment of corneal haze following photorefractive keratectomy.
