卵巢癌病患發生自發性結膜下膿瘍──病例報告

摘要

目的：報告一位卵巢癌患者，先前並沒有外傷或接受過眼部手術的病史，卻自發性地發生結膜下膿瘍。方法：病例報告。結果：一位53 歲的女性病人，先前並沒有外傷或眼部手術的病史，卻發生左眼結膜下膿瘍。該病患為第三期卵巢癌患者，並接受化學治療。我們以針頭刺穿結膜以取得膿液進行細菌培養。而細菌培養結果並沒有細菌生長。於是給予局部抗生素治療，一個月後結膜下膿瘍逐漸消失。結論：結膜下膿瘍是一個罕見的眼部感染。它通常與外傷或先前眼部手術有關。本文報告一位病患並沒有外傷或先前眼部手術的病史，發生了自發性結膜下膿瘍。早期診斷及早期治療，可以避免後續發生破壞性的併發症。

Purpose: To report a case of a spontaneous subconjunctival abscess in a patient with ovarian cancer but without previous trauma or ocular surgery. Method: Case report. Results: A 53-year-old woman presented with a subconjunctival abscess in her left eye without any predisposing factor. She was a case of stage IIIC ovarian cancer and had received chemotherapy. Pus culture was performed with needle puncture and revealed no growth. Under topical antibiotics treatment, the subconjunctival abscess resolved progressively in 1 month. Conclusion: Subconjunctival abscess is a rare ocular infection. It is usually related to trauma or previous ocular surgery. We present a case of spontaneous subconjunctival abscess in an ovarian cancer patient without any predisposing factors. Early diagnosis and medical treatment may prevent further devastating complications.
