As is well known, Professor Mou Tsung-san was the remarkable philosopher on the reconstruction of Chinese Philosophy in the modern era. Although Professor Mou less articulated his methodology, it still not difficult to find out his ideas through some literal transcripts of his lectures and prefaces of his books. According to him, an objective and appropriate understanding of Chinese Philosophy based on three interrelated conditions: textual knowledge, philosophical thinking and the most important one, existential correspondence. The aim of this paper is try to give on overall vision of Professor Mou's methodology in the light of modern philosophical hermeneutics.
