Globalization 、Global City and Urban Development Strategy in China

摘要

本文的主旨是以全球城市的趨勢來檢視中國開放改革以後城市未來的發展策略。並非是要介入中國城市道路的論辯，而是要從另一個空間層級的思考模式來考量。本文試圖從全球化的觀點架構在經濟改革後的中國大陸的城市和區域發展的策略上，說明在全球化的衝擊下，使得中國大陸政府不得不順應開放市場的波動而在城市政策上做調整與適應。比較明顯的是－原本宰制中國大陸城市發展的中小城鎮建設，勢必配合這股全球化的浪潮而有所調整。

The major idea in this article exams future urban developmental strategy after China reform from tendency of global city. It is rather consider from another thought model of spatial scale than involving in the argument of urban policies in China. From a concept of globalization, this article attempts to describe city and regional development strategies after china's economic reform, and suggests that globalization forces China to readjust and review its urban policies in order to follow the wave of the open market. As results, the development of medium-small city & town, which dominates urban developments of China, have to readjust their developmental strategies for adapting the wave of globalization.
