苗栗之東南方的細道邦背斜構造之主要儲氣層為出磺坑層及木山層,該地地表面蘊含有豐富之油氣苗,但是台灣油礦探勘總處於細道邦構造南段背斜軸部鑽探細道邦一號井,卻沒有探尋到任何的油氣存在。本研究利用離散元素法模擬細道邦斷層彎曲褶皺之形貌演育過程,探討斷層彎曲褶皺形成的背斜構造中的裂縫之幾何分布,對鑽井井位予以評估。模擬結果顯示,斷層彎曲褶皺裂隙分布不完全集中在背斜型褶皺軸部位置,而是以斷坡後方的細道邦背斜型褶皺東翼為主要裂隙分布區,褶皺軸部則是以剪切破壞所形成的裂隙為主,然而,因拉張而造成的裂隙皆分布於斷坡後方,顯示細道邦背斜型褶皺東翼地層可能具有較高的孔隙率,相當利於油氣移棲以及儲存,有較高的儲油潛能。
Chuhuangkeng and Mushan Formations are the main Gas Reservoirs of the Hsitaopang anticline located at southeastern Miaoli. There is abundant gas seepage in surface. But there was no oil and gas to excavate after the CPC (CPC Corporation, Taiwan) drilled the HTP-l well at the axis of Hsitaopang anticline. We use Discrete Element Method to mimic the evaluation of fault-bend fold structure in Hsitaopang. According to the patterns of crack distribution, cracks concentrate on the ramp of the fault-bend fold structure not on the fold axis. We speculate eastern limb of the Hsitaopang anticline with many extension cracks might has higher hydrocarbon potential.
