Overview on Concerns in Designing Efficient Composite Structures

高效能複合材料結構設計考量的概觀

摘要


在航空及太空結構的應用上,複合材料結構設計須有其獨特的設計考量。然而在結構設計時,設計者經常只是單純的以複合材料取代傳統材料,並未將復合材料的特性多加以發揮。本文探討一些有關結構、材料製造、以及結構測試的問題。筆者強調由材料與力學之探討,即可達成高效能複合材料之結構設計。本文也提出有關直昇機複合材料旋翼設計經驗,並且闡明一些用於複合材料積層板破損控制之設計方法。

Applications of composite materials to aircraft/aerospace structures possess unique characteristics in structural design. However, designers often simply replace conventional material by a composite material in structural design. This paper discusses the issues on structures, material fabrication and testing involved in designing an efficient composite structures. The paper also highlights the mechanics and material concerns that are often overlooked or ignored by designers. Through better understanding those issues involved in laminate design, an efficient composite structure can be achieved. Experience in composite helicopter rotor structures design is presented. The design concepts for damage control in laminate design are illustrated.
